Care, carried forward.
Through teaching, design, visual storytelling, and research—finding ways to turn care into action.
FOUR PROJECTS · MANY WAYS TO CARE

GUIZHOU / BEYOND THE CLASSROOM
01 / EDUCATION & CONNECTION
Relationships that
outlast the summer.
Rural Teaching Club
PRESIDENT · 2024–PRESENT
Every summer, I return to Guizhou for ten days of volunteer teaching, connecting with students beyond our weekly online lessons. As president of the Rural Teaching Club, I coordinate over 50 volunteers to organize lessons, workshops, and community outreach activities.
Through classroom conversations and letters exchanged throughout the year, I’ve learned to adapt to students’ needs and build relationships that continue beyond each summer.

02 / DESIGN FOR A CAUSE
Designing a Smile

Operation Smile China
A story of care,
made wearable.
I co-designed a charity T-shirt with Operation Smile China to support children with cleft lip and palate. I wanted the design to express care through playful shapes and color: red heart-shaped eyes represent seeing others with love, while a rainbow smile suggests hope after difficult times.

02 / CARE COMING TOGETHER
Overlapping watercolor hearts in yellow, green, and blue symbolize care coming together from different people.

THE CHARITY T-SHIRT LAUNCH
200 T-shirts.
Two hours.
During my livestream launch, I shared the meaning behind these details and responded to viewers’ questions, selling out all 200 T-shirts within two hours.
The project helped me explore how clothing can carry a story and invite people to take part in a cause.

03 / PHOTOGRAPHY & VISUAL STORYTELLING
Beauty in Magnifier
CONTENT & MEDIA LEAD
Looking closer.
Seeing differently.
Each edition explores a different theme through photography and visual storytelling, including appearance anxiety and gender equality. As Content & Media Lead, I help develop these themes and turn them into visual stories, leading over ten shoots and reaching an audience of more than 5,000.
My creative approach emphasizes natural details and minimal retouching, encouraging viewers to appreciate individuality and reconsider familiar beauty standards.

PROJECT LEADER · WITH KARUNA RESCUE
From understanding
to action.
Working with Karuna Rescue, I led a research project exploring stray animal welfare and community awareness. I coordinated with the rescue team, filmed a documentary featuring an interview with the shelter’s owner, and designed a survey to understand public attitudes.

RESEARCH INTO ACTION
Small designs.
Shared support.
To turn our research into action, I also organized a week-long charity sale that raised $500 to support animal rescue efforts.
Inspired by the dogs at the shelter, I designed merchandise and a poster for the charity sale.
